A Selfie with Aliens

Look beyond a constellation’s wink,
And fiddle with your telescope’s lens,
Now take a sip from your cold drink,
As you will find the rarest of gems,
Do not stop there and take a breath,
Deep enough to silence your giggles,
Floppy beings that escape their death,
Always in their pods that wiggles,
Manoeuvring around huge asteroids,
Following them with your telescope,
It appears they also have androids,
Repairing but barely able to cope,
Blueish fingers now pointing at you,
Aliens approaching this ancient land,
No one will believe even if it’s true,
The camera! Next to your left hand,
You grab it for a picture as a proof
That aliens are real and not a spoof.

A Free Soul

Speak like the trees – voiceless,
Move like the wind – swiftness,
Think like this ancient crust of dust,
Collect rare beings whom you trust,
Listen like the stars – far away,
Love like the birds – a new day,
Become a young free soul and flow
Like this beautiful angelic doe,
Dance like the leaves – falling,
Stand like the mountains – rising,
Ever since you have lived this life,
Ever since you were the wildlife.

Lunar Chants

Glow a memory of the past,
And live by yourself at last,
Produce an abstract so vast,
A relic for your eyes to blast,
A symbolic eerie halo to cast
A spell leaving minds aghast,
To our lunar rituals of the past,
We look at your beauty at last,
Within your glory lives a vast
Energetic singularity to blast,
Forlorn shadows start to cast
Under your glow never aghast.

Today is for Tomorrow

Time’s quality assurance has passed
To never show an identical face,
And as ancient steps continue to rise,
Our fortune we start to embrace.

A night’s cloud may shed a tear,
The moon flooding the Spanish Arch,
Elements of nature to forever amaze
The young souls in their continued march.

I have learnt and I have taught,
The pen clicks to tick the clocks,
At least five years and maybe ten,
A gap to mind as the tick tocks.

In the coming days, in the coming weeks,
Angelic beings descend from our sky,
To foretell the beginning of a lovely date,
But for now, on this couch, I sluggishly lie.

A Polar Bear’s First Love

Spiders creeping on my white fur?
No, but a superficial tickly sensation,
Her arms and her thighs I prefer,
Something is racing, is that emotion?
I walk slowly and then I start to run,
I growl passionately for no reason,
I have to say something, maybe a pun,
Is this what they call a mating season?
The lightbulb sparks over my head,
And as a scientist I develop a hypothesis,
Love is but a series of emotions on thread,
And another male is definitely my nemesis.

Lost in Translation

To a being who is currently lost in translation,
Try to breathe a lungful of a passionate emotion,
Have a long walk into the waves of friendships,
Accept them into many eases and hardships,
Water your naked tongue for a fruitful season,
Collect hugs and kisses for an obvious reason,
Imitate a dance ritual for the yearned discovery,
So that you can begin your absolute recovery.
Maybe, just maybe, there is a need to be still,
To avoid many created bonds reducing to nil,
A week of immense rainy and stormy silence,
Concentrating on ancient scrolls for a balance,
Yet, symbolic stars will start to envelope you,
Lost in translation with many codes to accrue,
Deciphering your smiles and a beautiful stare,
And to me you are truly a being beyond compare.
