The Black Widow

What will you do when you have been –
Captured by a Black Widow,
Believing that she’s your Queen,
Living happily in her silky strings,
Except they are devouring you – ever – so – slowly,
And when you wake up from this magical dream:
(where your heart screams so loud
That you forget to listen to those close to you,
Those that cared for your angelic smile,
Those who will still await your return patiently)
And then you start to struggle your way out,
Not sure whether it is too late or not,
But you do it nonetheless,
To taste freedom once more,
And to her, you are but a useless pawn,
Trapped in her game –
Suddenly, one string snaps,
That is your remedy,
So you continue cutting all your connections with her,
And with each snap she furiously fits uncontrollably,
Because picturing you dissing her royalty is unbearable,
And you finally escape!
So what now?
Will you return to her throne and burn it down?
Or move on to find another royalty?
Or will you forge yourself into a throne-less King?

Let It Be You!

Take your time, lovely flower,
Be alone and soothe your heart,
Let the moon glow its glory
On your divine magical soul,
Let the tears of love that hide
Behind the curtains of pain
Flow down the rivers of my lands,
And walk outside into the
Tales of blossoming friendships,
There you will find my garden’s
Heart waiting to listen to your
Melodic songs to be sung by
The morning birds – voices of
Nature dancing with the wind
Where your soul shall smile,
Let it be young! Let it be free!
Let it be alive! Let it be you!

Enthralled by Your Majesty

I am enthralled at this notion,
A historical moment of us both,
An attempt to knock on a door,
The wisdom of all our souls,
And you were there to smile,
Learnt speeches may be used,
Useful enough for me and you,
Working for a night’s sleep,
Or an invitation for a nice meal,
You who have me enthralled
At the different aspects of life,
You who are deciding to leave,
Go on, build the beautiful boat,
Set sail and fly among the birds,
Remember to sings a celestial
Song to open the next chapter,
And know that one of my stops
Shall be on your sunny shores,
And I am always, always, always,
I am enthralled by looking at you.

In a Specially Sewn Pocket

Each time I read it,
Each time the river flows,
Pure words from your heart
Always reaches mine,
And even though this
Might not be a poem,
It is a collection of words,
The echoes of my heart,
The roars of my mind,
The whispers of my soul,
Words of complex simplicity,
Treasured in my shirt pocket,
One that is specially sewn
For a particular purpose
From a branded tailor,
To arm a tongue,
To torso a lover,
To leg a dream,
To shoulder a society,
And to hand you
An emblem of friendship,
Until forever smiles,
Always with peace.

Morning Dew

Ladies and gentlemen:
To-day’s morning dew
Ventured out of my flowers
To send fresh smiles
In a colourful bouquet,
And my leaves (in trusting
The natural flows of gusts of love)
Have prayed for Eastern winds –
The warmth of many summers –
To embrace this friendship; bound westward,
Soaring over earthly matter,
And among heavenly matter,
And higher and higher,
Tune in and bemuse,
Muse on the music box,
Tuned in to her flowers,
And enters – the smiles of
To-day’s morning dew.

Getting Warmer

Am I getting warmer?
Rhetorical, philosophical,
As I examine hollow
Threads of friendships,
Frozen and colder,
Though in existence,
To pretence our souls
In believing their being,
Lifeless black holes never
To reach stars of our skies,
Forgotten to never remember–

When is it getting warmer?
Rhetorical, philosophical,
As I examine golden
Threads of friendships,
Warmer in abundance,
Floral essences as décor,
Stylists shaping them
Into hearts for many
Hugs and kisses
And the forever smiles,
Tiptoeing a poem,
To him and to her,
And again and again,
Tiptoeing a song,
To him and to her,
And again and again,
For I have found
A treasure chest,
Full of warm gems–

Is it going to get any warmer?
Rhetorical, philosophical,
As I examine diamond
Threads of friendships,
Rare garments
To wrap around,
Drums of my heart,
Lights of my mind,
Whispers of my soul,
Without them
All threads freeze
Beyond repair
As the river flows,
Indeed, unbearable,
But they are here
Here, here, here,
I built them a mansion,
An astronomical
Chamber that fits them all,
They are the best of the
Best, closer than the
Closest of all my friends.
