I Am Cultural

Hold on. Pause. And take a deep breath.
Listen to the red beats of all our lives.
And wait. Be patient. And look outside.
See the yellow dust mixing with shades
Of green palettes awaiting to be stroked
For an enormous canvas. Now breathe.
And live for as long as your white smiles
Take you: over the blue seas or even at
Your own doorstep where you trembled,
Where you suffocated your old inner self,
A shock towards a culture you embraced
As a little child and chose to set it aside,
Let it shock you. Let it shock the very feet
That tried to escape a reality deemed to
Forever follow you innocently for a kiss,
And for a little hug, and request to never
Forget, so go into a huge shock so that
You will be able to return to us normal
For I am all of my past, present, future.

A Free Soul

Speak like the trees – voiceless,
Move like the wind – swiftness,
Think like this ancient crust of dust,
Collect rare beings whom you trust,
Listen like the stars – far away,
Love like the birds – a new day,
Become a young free soul and flow
Like this beautiful angelic doe,
Dance like the leaves – falling,
Stand like the mountains – rising,
Ever since you have lived this life,
Ever since you were the wildlife.

Stolen Maps

Men have long stolen maps of earth,
They have recreated them defective,
Nature’s eminence was casted away,
They were cursed: those who learnt
The truth along with buried treasures,
Not from nature, no, nature never
Curses as it only wages old beauty,
But men curse their own avaricious
Selves into their own burial ceremony,
And nature keeps outliving those men,
You see, men want to own everything,
They even look up towards heaven,
And search for maps that show them
The stairs to climb and the gates to
Take down, but then nature prevails,
Sending them into the depths of an
Ancient dust forgotten beyond the
Creation of you, and me, and Time.

Two Sides of the Same War

The space is spilling its own secrets,
But a void is trying to interrupt the
Communications, and a wooden door
Was opened, I heard it myself, stars
Running through it as if horses or
Soldiers or freedom fighters, or waves
Upon waves of nature’s way to show
A peaceful movement, and there –
There! A shooting star leading the
Resistance against all of the void,
And the horns of battle have been
Blown, and now, stars clash against
Blackness somewhere into the space,
The sky starts to be filled with fog,
Obscuring the battlefield, everything
Is now cloudy, but I can feel the stars
Are starting to diminish – our poor
Sky is gathering their dust and is
Now full of tears, we are getting
Drenched by their sorrow while
Both space and void sit back on
Their comfy chairs shaking hands
After all pawns gone: checkmated.

Adventures of a Kid

Listen you boy, don’t you wonder around!
Her chair rocked forwards and backwards,
And I winked at her little fat Miss Orange,
A naughty blind little cat that I used to mop
The floor and sometimes the windows, too,
But all of this is gone for I will embark on a
Journey where I will find a form of magic,
Something to bring my mom back to me,
I once read in a dusty book about a forest
That is not far from here, it must be here –
Oh you don’t know how much I miss her,
She was taken away when I was just a kid,
They sent her to marry some son of royal
Blood, and I was to live under the ceiling
Of my mentally demented wicked aunt,
No cousins, no husband, no pets but a cat,
And a bit of dust on the table and on the
Wooden floor, and on the windows and
On the chairs, on the boots, on the ceiling,
On the beds and all around this old house,
Clean the dust! Clean the dust! All I do is
Clean the dust, and so I will embark on a
Journey where I will find a form of magic,
The book mentioned a stone or two that
Can grant any person their wish, a bird or
Two with an orange feather that can bring
Two persons back together, and a leaf or
Two that will forever send a person away,
And I want all three of them: a stone, a
Feather, and a leaf, to give my mother
The stone, to bring me and her together,
And keep my revolting aunt forever away.

Hiatus

Do stand on an isolated bus stop,
The train will arrive any second,
Galloping through this sphere,
A time machine that will unfold,
And do await like never before,
An unwanted box full of gifts,
Finally accepted with open arms,
Albeit, emotions do get tangled,
Solution: extinguish the candle,
Hope for a better tomorrow,
No, somehow just work it out,
Make your stance formidable,
A foundation for a skyscraper,
And rebuild the broken parts,
Hidden under layers of dust,
And please do forgive yourself.

Calming the Soul

Calm down O lovely soul within my drumming heart,
Listen to the whispering rivers that flow in the veins,
Breathe in many joys and out the shadows of misery,
Contact the dusts of Earth that you always walked on,
Live in peaceful silence and utter nothing but peace,
Claim your previous self and sleep in great serenity,
Stay voiceless but move around this ancient world,
Ignore the background noises of the ignorant fools,
Now think about the true nature of peace and justice.
