A Heart’s Ink

Your heart’s ink drew a vast ocean,
Fierce waves crashing with each beat,
And I know that the others will drown,
But with you, I can forever breathe,
Looking at your face, at your pure eyes,
Sheltered beneath your concealed curves,
The elegance of your hidden beauty,
Unbeknown to you, raw feelings grow,
A constellation reflecting on your waters,
Twinkling your surroundings with glitters,
For a chance to explore your dreams,
Borrowing your heart’s ink,
To draw you a portrait,
So you may get to know me more.

For My Self

Reluctant was I to stand ground,
My own self in total disregard,
I may lift weights overhead,
Yet, mine holding me down,
And I may talk to others nonstop,
But will the ‘silence talk’ ever start?
And I may read others’ faces,
Whilst mine buried underground.

So here is to the era of recovery,
To the morning light of my moon,
To the midnight rise of my sun:
An early bird – for a lasting lullaby,
An invention – for an open mic,
A dew – for a refreshing smile,
A postcard – for a self-reflection,
So here is to how I stood my ground.

Fighting for Her

The one in a billion being brought to light
In a dark era where many bark and bite,
And a passer-by noted the infringement
Of the laws in a dystopian society,
And he saw the predators hunting the wounded angel,
Now that Time has shown a different face
Discharging electrical shocks that shocked his mind beyond repair,
And he tried to stand firm against dust storms
Crippling the minds of pure beings,
She was indeed falsely accused, involuntarily resurrected,
And I have sworn to evacuate this polluted era
Such that she may feel alive, at least once, by me,
An objective and a burden I carry until I succeed,
For she is one in a billion brought to light in a dark era.

When It Rained

Today, the rain drenched its own face
With tears as it touched my lips,
Commemorating a day where it left
Its own purified heavenly home,
And here I am still covering my face,
Hiding from its painful hushing drums,
A musical to the dancing hearts of nature,
Trees swinging to rescue every raindrop,
To revitalise its soul with earthly minerals,
Ah would you look at the new leaves,
Emerging and growing as the Sun glorifies
Its beauty across the endless horizon,
Now, it ascends back to its heavenly home.

Squeaking Lions

The lions of today’s news
Grew long scorpion tails,
A hybrid found in deserts
Away from vibrant oases:
Fresh beginnings for the
Lost animals panting on
The doors of burnt death,
Still, the deformed hybrids
Will try to be on headlines,
Suffocating their own arid
Lands until shades of red
Fill the elemental sources
Of life to water our eyes,
Their incompleteness is
The truthful buried acts
Of masking themselves
Behind defective faces,
And what we see is a
Black flag and squeaks
Uniformly produced in
Studios of modern TV
Series commercialised
At the expenses of our
Young innocent souls,
And while they dance on
Our shattered dreams,
We have to break those
Masks of the so-called
Lions and snap their
Ugly long scorpion tails.

Today is for Tomorrow

Time’s quality assurance has passed
To never show an identical face,
And as ancient steps continue to rise,
Our fortune we start to embrace.

A night’s cloud may shed a tear,
The moon flooding the Spanish Arch,
Elements of nature to forever amaze
The young souls in their continued march.

I have learnt and I have taught,
The pen clicks to tick the clocks,
At least five years and maybe ten,
A gap to mind as the tick tocks.

In the coming days, in the coming weeks,
Angelic beings descend from our sky,
To foretell the beginning of a lovely date,
But for now, on this couch, I sluggishly lie.

Recovering Humanity

Cherish humanity’s harmony
to spread a peaceful embrace
before the world shows its
sadistic sorrowful failing face
as thorns of agony pierce it
endlessly towards numbness.

Tremble heart into sadness
but bounce back and rest on
hopeful clouds that will soon
(soon my friends, yes, soon)
drench the scarred crust of a
once upon an earthly face
with the healing waters of life.
