Unwarranted Addiction

Predators masked as youthful birds,
Soaring over the wilderness of free souls,
Spreading poison on ripened fruits,
Fragrances delivered for suicidal seduction,
And as you dance to their melodic birdsongs
You get chained to their psychopathic beauty,
An unwanted addiction – unwarranted,
Darkness becomes your smiles,
Ignorance your laughs,
A euphoric moment in a dysphoric life,
And then the mask cracks,
Waiting out the addiction.

Let Me Change

Once I was told to never change,
But this change I’m loving it,
This change is longed for,
Unexpected,
To be shared with you,
And this change I paint my canvas with,
As a colourful landscape,
This tree can still swing its branches,
Dance to melodic natural tunes,
And smile to the scales of destiny,
And I am still free, except, this time,
I’m in my own happiness,
My own roots I’m hugging,
And now I can extend my canopy
Towards the heavens and pray for a brighter future.

Rhythmic Beings

The heart is agonised as it beats for its angel,
Turning right in a reverse motion outwards,
Disoriented as if a newborn yearning for warmth,
Love and compassion are its compass,
Faintly immersing its emotions calling for hers’,
Pitch perfect,
An artist is thriving,
In a melodic continuity,
Towards infinity,
For every beat is worth billions of stars,
But struggling to beat less intensely,
So as to not give hints to by-passers,
But holds for few seconds and skips beats,
Out on long distances they hold onto threads,
Drums of passion hammering a rhythmic cry,
On the dancing stage their performance ignites,
And as it walks towards closed arms,
She glimpses his sudden jump and opens,
And he lets go.
