A Heart’s Ink

Your heart’s ink drew a vast ocean,
Fierce waves crashing with each beat,
And I know that the others will drown,
But with you, I can forever breathe,
Looking at your face, at your pure eyes,
Sheltered beneath your concealed curves,
The elegance of your hidden beauty,
Unbeknown to you, raw feelings grow,
A constellation reflecting on your waters,
Twinkling your surroundings with glitters,
For a chance to explore your dreams,
Borrowing your heart’s ink,
To draw you a portrait,
So you may get to know me more.

An Open Book

Look through me for a second,
Open my eyes and dive into me,
Behind the blink the city lies,
Streetlights on steps to ascend,
Towards the mind and its heaven,
Or descend to a rainbow gathering,
Flutes and harps strung in peace,
Let the sky twinkle in your smiles,
My cosmos at your warm heart,
See for yourself my evolution,
And the rise of a civilisation,
A leader, thirty years in the making,
Who is mad about natural beauty,
A nature to search for pure souls.

Split in Two

I
Outstretching a hand to a falling leaf,
A farewell ritual dancing with the breeze,
Purifying the land for its soft touches,
Commemorating our distant smiles,
And further, further it continues to leave,
So, I chose to quickly pick it up and hold it,
Sending all my warmth to its inner core,
Tending to its many complex arid cracks,
Some were so deep and beyond repair,
And even as close as I can be I am still –
Still unsure of my ability to intervene,
All I can do is allow Time to heal itself.

II
And whilst I dream about a surreal era,
Where cracks flawlessly diffuse forever,
Where I await mine to be softly tended,
Or at least to be acknowledged; at least,
Another decides to ride the whispers
Of a warm wind guiding a silent nomad,
Which sounds so elegantly majestic,
And yet, it leaves behind a heavy mirage,
Silence becomes my natural remedy,
Still unsure of my ability to intervene,
All I can do is allow Time to heal itself.

Fighting for Her

The one in a billion being brought to light
In a dark era where many bark and bite,
And a passer-by noted the infringement
Of the laws in a dystopian society,
And he saw the predators hunting the wounded angel,
Now that Time has shown a different face
Discharging electrical shocks that shocked his mind beyond repair,
And he tried to stand firm against dust storms
Crippling the minds of pure beings,
She was indeed falsely accused, involuntarily resurrected,
And I have sworn to evacuate this polluted era
Such that she may feel alive, at least once, by me,
An objective and a burden I carry until I succeed,
For she is one in a billion brought to light in a dark era.

Forging a Smile

You forged many smiles into my heart
That I am barely able to voluntarily forget,
And when you have introduced yourself,
All I heard were the voices of your eyes:
Dazzling in brilliance, a primitive attraction,
To touch the serene beauty of a purified soul,
The embodiment of a celestial angel,
Eternity for her arms is my selfish desire,
And only while hugging have I seen her cry.

My Dutch Friend

Historical dialogue between Earth and humans
Caused for banners to be put on our heavens,
The arms of humanity held one another for a
Chance to relive the beauty of nature’s purity,
And you are no different, O gorgeous friend,
Whether our time can be put in numerical
Forms or our memories can be inscribed on
The ancient pages of this Earth’s history,
Know that our encounter was definitely fated;
You see, the person who actually attracted
Me to that lovely group of friends was you,
Your energetic soul broadened its wings to
Soar over my delicate heart and fulfil the
Isolation that I felt at that moment; indeed,
I still remember, and I kept this to myself,
But not today, today I’ll tell you how rare
This friendship is; despite the short numerical
Time and the archived inscription of memories,
From your smiles and your amazing accent
To your sports and your social acceleration,
You made me look forward to the weekends,
In hope that I go back to the hostel and see
Each one of ye together for a wonderful time,
And ye were there and you were definitely there, too,
So I will delay my warm and loving thanks
Until I actually come to the Netherlands to see
You in person, and that day might be getting close.

Tickling a Penguin

Tickle an adorable little penguin
And listen to its melodic giggles,
Voices of nature always allures us
Into the peaks of happiness even
When we might not anticipate it,
But our pure actions will produce
A joyful adorable symphony that
Envelopes our beloved’s heart,
Whom listens to nature where
The flowering giggles disperse,
And it will always continue to,
For the little penguin was tickled.
