A Masked Mirage

A moment of your time to render
What’s impossible possible,
An ostentatious overlap between
Reality and a masked mirage,
A directionless choice to test
The driver who will win the race,
Despite not possessing a compass,
The impossible opened its doors,
To deny my existence entirely,
To mean nothing in their life,
The tides are turning as Time
Reminds us about infinite possibilities,
A precise reality I am now embracing,
A masked mirage continuously fading,
The beauty will always soar,
And with it will we always live.

Split in Two

I
Outstretching a hand to a falling leaf,
A farewell ritual dancing with the breeze,
Purifying the land for its soft touches,
Commemorating our distant smiles,
And further, further it continues to leave,
So, I chose to quickly pick it up and hold it,
Sending all my warmth to its inner core,
Tending to its many complex arid cracks,
Some were so deep and beyond repair,
And even as close as I can be I am still –
Still unsure of my ability to intervene,
All I can do is allow Time to heal itself.

II
And whilst I dream about a surreal era,
Where cracks flawlessly diffuse forever,
Where I await mine to be softly tended,
Or at least to be acknowledged; at least,
Another decides to ride the whispers
Of a warm wind guiding a silent nomad,
Which sounds so elegantly majestic,
And yet, it leaves behind a heavy mirage,
Silence becomes my natural remedy,
Still unsure of my ability to intervene,
All I can do is allow Time to heal itself.

It was You She Hanged, Remember!

Needles keep striking your chest,
The place where you remember,
Beautiful memories like red roses,
But then the thorns bleed you dry,
And you stop. You retreat. You –
Forget about her, all of her,
You have unmasked this being,
So, move on and forget that hug,
Forget that smile and that dance,
The songs and the infinite poetry,
All you need to do is remember,
Remember her twisted words,
Making you feel guilty every time,
Shackled and imprisoned in her world,
Each step thinking twice or ten times,
Until you stop talking to everyone,
Relationships cut, deleted, stabbed,
And with her incessant hisses:
Your own self she enslaved,
Your close friends she drowned,
And at last, it was you that she hanged,
Remember?!

Fighting for Her

The one in a billion being brought to light
In a dark era where many bark and bite,
And a passer-by noted the infringement
Of the laws in a dystopian society,
And he saw the predators hunting the wounded angel,
Now that Time has shown a different face
Discharging electrical shocks that shocked his mind beyond repair,
And he tried to stand firm against dust storms
Crippling the minds of pure beings,
She was indeed falsely accused, involuntarily resurrected,
And I have sworn to evacuate this polluted era
Such that she may feel alive, at least once, by me,
An objective and a burden I carry until I succeed,
For she is one in a billion brought to light in a dark era.

Three Celestial Miracles

When the moon nourishes the heart of a forlorn sand,
And when the shooting star orbits around Polaris,
Where shall the nomadic sand go to seek seeds of guidance?
If not for the celestial bodies embedded in our skies,
The moon would dwell on uneven edges of the Earth,
But as a sand seeking a fruitful tomorrow,
I camp on mountainous constellations,
Listening to Polaris’ revelations,
How the everlasting silences of the shooting star
Will recreate the Big Bang,
How the infinite smiles of the moon
Will redirect the flow of Time,
And we may once more wonder where will the
Forlorn nomadic sand be if not for these three?

Moving On

Tumble a life in a wet climate,
Tremble voices of eerie lands,
A stalemate to observe alone,
So, sound the universe’s horns,
And listen to a fateful answer,
And marvel at an ancient ritual,
As the old becomes the new,
As your beautiful worlds merge,
And transform, and evolve,
To beget a time that flows
Away from this deafening pause,
To replenish a lost energy,
And rework a life’s elegy,
To be carried into the wilderness,
Of the vast seas, of the lands,
Of the timeless heavens above,
Of your life, of the unknown.

My Dutch Friend

Historical dialogue between Earth and humans
Caused for banners to be put on our heavens,
The arms of humanity held one another for a
Chance to relive the beauty of nature’s purity,
And you are no different, O gorgeous friend,
Whether our time can be put in numerical
Forms or our memories can be inscribed on
The ancient pages of this Earth’s history,
Know that our encounter was definitely fated;
You see, the person who actually attracted
Me to that lovely group of friends was you,
Your energetic soul broadened its wings to
Soar over my delicate heart and fulfil the
Isolation that I felt at that moment; indeed,
I still remember, and I kept this to myself,
But not today, today I’ll tell you how rare
This friendship is; despite the short numerical
Time and the archived inscription of memories,
From your smiles and your amazing accent
To your sports and your social acceleration,
You made me look forward to the weekends,
In hope that I go back to the hostel and see
Each one of ye together for a wonderful time,
And ye were there and you were definitely there, too,
So I will delay my warm and loving thanks
Until I actually come to the Netherlands to see
You in person, and that day might be getting close.
