To My Offspring

I just wrote an encrypted letter,
Layered with seven coding systems,
Then I rolled it for a forgotten era,
Picked up a green ribbon for a knot,
A clear glass bottle for transportation,
And a sea for an unknown itinerary,
Forty-six months without a reply,
Trapped in a dimensionless time,
Awaiting the whispers of an angel,
Voices of my ancestry start to tremble,
The return of our long-lost kingdom was
But a mirage in a servant’s mind,
The forest trees have burnt,
The valleys became arid wastelands,
Scorching heat and starless nights,
And all I could wish for was the comfort in
Lying over our forefathers’ graves,
Keeping an eye for the falcon’s shadow,
In hope for a living, for a resurrection,
For some powerful force to guide the
Bottled letter through the nine oceans,
But it is my time to bid you farewell, Offspring.

Run, Dip, and Sting

The spring of our youth,
In the middle of winter,
Decision to invade the seas,
5am in shorts by our towels,
A quick run and dip,
Nearly frozen lake,
We sprint over the pier,
Some 100 metres and –
Splashing sounds resonating,
Now dampened beneath the sea,
And I dive as they ascend,
For a legendary tale to be told,
A mermaid’s kiss? Or Thor’s hammer?
Except, all there was, was darkness,
And the million stings of jellyfishes.

Nature Talks No More

Mystical winds enveloped my breaths,
And took control over how I sang my soul,
And onto the ancient stones of a labyrinth,
I was raised into the heavens up above to
Shout cries of the earthly wonders to those
Who slowly kissed our hallow moon. And left.

The trees that fed us their roots for a revival,
Joined the ritual to dance their wisdom minds
Into our explorative souls that continued to fly
Into the depths of the seas, and to soar over the
Heights of the mountains – there I hugged the
Roots into a dance along the forest. And halted.

The nature’s musical stops at a beat that beats
The beating hearts into a shocking stop stopped
Beyond awakening – a deathly shock – bereaved
At the notion that everything is from beauty,
And hence, everything will return to beauty,
My beloved nature was cremated. And silenced.

I Am Cultural

Hold on. Pause. And take a deep breath.
Listen to the red beats of all our lives.
And wait. Be patient. And look outside.
See the yellow dust mixing with shades
Of green palettes awaiting to be stroked
For an enormous canvas. Now breathe.
And live for as long as your white smiles
Take you: over the blue seas or even at
Your own doorstep where you trembled,
Where you suffocated your old inner self,
A shock towards a culture you embraced
As a little child and chose to set it aside,
Let it shock you. Let it shock the very feet
That tried to escape a reality deemed to
Forever follow you innocently for a kiss,
And for a little hug, and request to never
Forget, so go into a huge shock so that
You will be able to return to us normal
For I am all of my past, present, future.

Moving On

Tumble a life in a wet climate,
Tremble voices of eerie lands,
A stalemate to observe alone,
So, sound the universe’s horns,
And listen to a fateful answer,
And marvel at an ancient ritual,
As the old becomes the new,
As your beautiful worlds merge,
And transform, and evolve,
To beget a time that flows
Away from this deafening pause,
To replenish a lost energy,
And rework a life’s elegy,
To be carried into the wilderness,
Of the vast seas, of the lands,
Of the timeless heavens above,
Of your life, of the unknown.

Tangible Relationships

I needed something tangible
That would place the fished
Heart back to its sea, and from
Five to seven I figured it out,
Something logical about the
Causation of interpersonal
Relationship, which can be
Imitated into plurality and
Defined beyond the hours of
A person’s watch walking down
The streets of the city centre –
As if, instead of the two arms,
There were six residing within
The five to seven notion of
Something extremely tangible,
And before I even reach a
Somewhat factual conclusion,
One might wonder about the
Plurality above the second
Person: is that really possible?
Whether the disagreement
Entails the loss of a major
Relationship depends on,
I guess, the openness that
She or he would gather from
Their limitless surroundings,
But generally speaking, (if
You are still following) the
Majority accepts the other
Without entanglements,
Disorder, complications per se,
Although, I am intrigued by
Those who accept it without
Negative connotations, and
As for me, I am in between,
Like there is always moderation,
But let us move on to the
Duration (something I really
Fancy), well, it is an important
Status between partners,
And I believe, the expectations
Should match otherwise the
Fished heart will just drown
In the suffocating air open
To all passers-by, and since
Five to seven is just two
Entities apart – hours,
Minutes, days, weeks –
Whether the two (or more)
Disagree or agree will
Always solve the problem
Of waiting another entity –
Hour, minute, day, week –
And now I reach a dense
Conclusion about persons
Who wish to begin something
On the lines of a relationship:
Open your eyes and go for it.
